Manta Rota

This beach is located on the extension of the Altura dune cordon, and is flanked by Lota Beach and Cacela Beach. Fantastic region to rent a house.

Manta Rota Beach is one of the beaches distinguished with the blue flag, ensuring the quality of its sands and water, as well as the existing equipment, including concessions and access for people with reduced mobility.

Similar to Altura, this is a beach area par excellence, perfect for those looking to rent a property or invest. The winters here are short and mild, making this an attractive area all year round. This area is also notable for being in line with some of the most popular golf courses in the region such as Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima (near the village of Fábrica), Monte Rey, Benamor and Castro Marim (the last two already further away).

Also for nature lovers there is interest in the area of Manta Rota, since it is located at the eastern end of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, an important wetland and observation point for migratory birds, so essential to the ecosystem of this Natural Park so unique in its characteristics. On a more cultural note and to maintain the traditions of the region, at the end of August there are festivities in honor of São João da Degola, having its high point with the holy bath on the morning of August 29th, evoking the times when the inhabitants of Serra do Caldeirão went down to the coast to bathe in the ocean.
