Monte Gordo beach, with its calm waters, is part of the long stretch of sand that runs for 12 kilometres from Vila Real de Santo António to Manta Rota. Walking trails through the pine forest that adorns the coastline offer a leisurely alternative to your stay, not forgetting the picnic areas in the shade of the trees. 
Summer evenings in Monte Gordo are perfect for family outings and are enriched by various activities to keep the kids entertained, but also by fairs and the like that take place in the pedestrianised area. Bars, shops and ice-cream shops are some of the options open until late.
